NEW PHYSICAL THERAPY
FACILITY OPENS ON BRIDGEWAY STREET IN AURORA
A new physical therapy facility, Aurora
Physical Therapy, is now available in the Library Court Medical Arts
Building in Aurora. Conveniently located at 107 Bridgeway Street,
Aurora Physical Therapy is less than two blocks from the
intersection of US 50 and State Route 350.
The new facility is staffed by experienced licensed Physical
Therapists who are attuned to helping individuals gain their optimum
level of strength, endurance, mobility and flexibility.
“We look forward to serving patients from
throughout the region given our flexible schedule and convenient
location,” stated Ed Brush, MSPT/ATC, Director of Aurora Physical
Therapy and Dearborn County Hospital Director of Physical Therapy.
“Many people are already familiar with our location since we are in
the same building as Dr. Jack Freidel.
“At Aurora Physical Therapy, we see patients
for a variety of diagnoses, such as balance disorders, dysfunction
of the lower extremities (ankle, foot, hip or knee), dysfunction of
the upper extremities (elbow, hand, shoulder or wrist),
musculoskeletal disorders, spinal pain and sports-related injuries,”
Mr. Brush continued. “Rehabilitation can include fall prevention,
industrial rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation for stroke or
traumatic brain injury patients, postoperative orthopaedics, the
return to sports program or work reconditioning.”
“Ed Brush and his staff are top notch,”
expressed Andy Magee, soccer coach and longtime resident of
Lawrenceburg. “This was my fourth knee rehab and it is nice to have
such a knowledgeable team of professionals available here in
Southeastern Indiana. The care I received at Aurora Physical
Therapy during my rehabilitation was excellent.”
“Aurora Physical Therapy is credentialed as a
free standing independent clinic owned and operated by Health
Services Corporation, a subsidiary of Dearborn County Hospital,”
explained Mr. Brush. “Some insurance plans impose a higher co-pay,
deductible and/or out of pocket if the patient is seen at a hospital
based rehabilitation facility. Since Aurora Physical Therapy is a
separate entity from the hospital, in most cases these higher
amounts would not apply.
“By making services available through Aurora
Physical Therapy, as well as through the hospital and the DCH
Harrison Outpatient Diagnostic Center, we can accommodate
individuals with almost all forms of insurance. We also recommend
that patients call their insurance provider and verify their
coverage and any restrictions before selecting any physical therapy
facility,” he noted. “Also, as an added courtesy for every patient
that contacts one of our facilities, upon request, our staff will
check and verify the individual’s insurance benefits and their
direct cost for services, as well as to help them to determine their
financial responsibility for care received. Depending upon the
individual’s insurance benefits, they can then choose which therapy
location is most financially feasible for them to use.
“Now that Aurora Physical Therapy is open, we
hope to be able to accommodate many individuals who previously were
unable to utilize our services,” Mr. Brush concluded.
