EVENING HOURS AND CONVENIENT LOCATION ADD TO SUCCESS OF DCH HARRISON PHYSICAL THERAPY

Excellent clinical care, a convenient location and evening hours have all contributed to the success of Dearborn County Hospital’s physical therapy services in Harrison’s Cincinnatus Center.

“As Physical Therapists, we like to think that patients come to DCH Harrison Physical Therapy solely because of our clinical skills and professionalism.   While these attributes are extremely important, they are probably not the only reason patients utilize our facility,” stated Ben Huber, MPT, DCH Licensed Physical Therapist.  “Three days a week we offer early evening hours.  This means that individuals can stop for therapy on their way home from work or in some cases, eat dinner and then come to the center for treatment.  Being located just off Interstate 74 on Harrison Avenue makes us easily accessible for much of western Hamilton County and southeastern Indiana.”

Physical therapy appointments are available from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Services available include treatment for orthopaedic problems, sports injuries, post-surgery rehabilitation, neurological disorders, pediatric disorders, and back and spinal problems (cervical, thoracic and lumbar).  Physical Therapists who staff the facility are licensed in both Ohio and Indiana.  Patients are not required to see a physician from the Dearborn County Hospital Medical Staff to obtain treatment at DCH Harrison Physical Therapy.

Prior to the patient’s first appointment, therapy staff will obtain the necessary authorizations and/or pre-certifications required by the patient’s insurance company.  During the initial visit, the therapist will provide an extensive evaluation.  Over the course of treatment, the patient and referring physician will continue to be updated as to the extent of progress and the anticipated outcome. 

“Our goal is to restore the patient to an optimal level of function,” Mr. Huber added.  “Treatment and rehabilitation progress will be assessed at each visit to help ensure proper recovery.”
